Her talking about how she didn't want anyone thinking this was a cameo-of-the-week show was hilarious.

As was the reveal that Wong worked at a Nepali target for nine years before becoming the librarian.

I loved that. Too short though.

I especially liked the not a cameo show part

Loved it. Might honestly be the best single episode of any D+ show, but I've always wanted a superhero sitcom. I'm actually a little disappointed by the ending because it seems like it is going to become more typically MCU.

I find it extra amusing because episode 2 even already addressed the old "But why just make girl versions of existing heroes instead of new ones?!" when she complains about "Not even being able to exist without being a derivative of The Hulk."

Captain America fucks, and She-Hulk twerks.

It's great because it almost makes it seem like they are responding in real time to the criticisms, but it is clear they knew this shit would happen.

And yes the last song is Megan Thee Stallion.

Edit: This show is also hilarious and all of her fourth wall breaks this episode actually had me laugh out loud.

Also, any guesses as to who the boss for The Wrecking Crew might be? My hunch is Valentina Fontaine might be trying to create another Hulk for her Thunderbolts team (hence how we get Red Hulk)

This show is so self aware that its garbage. Therefore its good.

Runa is a name from the comics, but she's a Valkyrie, not a light elf.

Another great episode, though.

Funny some don't know Megan. And like, after watching half the episode, I was absolutely 100% expecting her to show up and was like, not surprised at all it was near the end.

Wasn't feeling this on at all.

While her old co-worker is an sexist asshole. How he was tricked is a horrifying. Seeing as they spent that much money one could guess that they had relations. So that makes the situation even worse.

Also they whitewashed a black villain for seemingly no reason.

This is the kind of show where they wouldnt want to have black people being portrayed as villains. It would be reinforcing a negative stereotype had he stayed as he was in the comics.

Then there are some people who say

Female superheroes + good writing = good

as if bad writing couldnt possibly exist when its written by and starring females.

to be fair though, the focus should be more on creating memorable female characters than just adding "she" to stuff, because then their identity is just rooted in being the female version of an existing character and that just opens the door for more hate. Jen even commented on that when she first found out she was being called she-hulk lol.

It's just an indication of how most of them got started: watered down versions of male heroes. In-universe, it's not that surprising that Jen wants to be seen as her own person and not just a shadow of her cousin.

I didn't know who she was. From the context of the episode I gather she is a hip hop singer of some sort.

Well thats what her name has been since 1979.

Theres also She-Ra which kind of goes along the same naming structure. Larry DiTillo who named She-Ra thought Ra was the egyptian word for God so effectively wanted her to be called She-God, but Ra is actually the Egyptian word for Sun.
