I choose to think that my boring ass tedious job is just what I need to toil away at so I can fund my own personal lifestyle and enjoyment. Don't stay at a job you're miserable at. I got 2 degrees before I figured out college wasn't going to change the fact that I wanted to be a truck driver since I was a kid. My parents were always uptown Charlotte and kinda snobby so you can imagine they didn't support that. University probably cost over 100k. It only costed me $3800 to attend a good driving school. Sure I have things to fall back on, but somewhere that kid always knew me better than my brain ever could think through it. I knew her and my brother in law made 6 figures but I didn't realize they were comfortably over 6 figures. They're nice people and I'm happy for them but it also made me feel a little deflated with my recent salary increase. I live comfortably but damn.
