I think in just two years McDonald's pay has doubled, which jumps the inflation rate by a bit.

I also think it's a good time to remember that not too long ago some Kroger shut down a store because the local jurisdiction mandated that they pay their employees $15. That was one butthurt executive.

Guess they realized they can just upcharge people 50% on their products and still rake in profits.

But also, my rent and many others' going up by 33% in 5 years begs to differ. Let's not sugarcoat reality for many struggling people out there. I'm glad McDonald's is paying people a few more bucks an hours but corporations are still seeing record breaking profits for a reason
