Batman: Caped Crusader is no longer debuting on HBO Max, but its not dead and has interest from multiple streamers. The animated series, which is taking inspiration from Batman: The Animated Series and is being produced by with Matt Reeves, J. J. Abrams and Bruce Timm, was reportedly to be scrapped in the wake of the Warner Bros. Discovery merger. However, THR now reports that the series is continuing production and merely wont be distributed on HBO Max.

According to the report, Warner Bros. Animation is shopping Caped Crusader along with a host of other animated series to streaming services as the belief is that will be more profitable for the studio. The report notes that Apple, Hulu, and Netflix all have intense interest in the series.

The series will be a reimagining of Batman bringing the character and his world back to noir roots with a focus on Batmans earlier years in Gotham before he was an ally of Jim Gordon.

Have we even had a Batman show since The Brave And The Bold

There should always be at least one Batman show at all times. If one ends, make a new one. Batman is eternal

They should do a Robin show where each season focuses on a different Robin and the family dynamic they have with Bruce and each other.

They had one. Apparently it was actually quite good but that didn't stop it from being cancelled.

Yeah, I've been thinking about the Robins lately. You could even set up stuff between seasons. Like you can see Dick meet Tim at the circus, maybe Jason comes across some weirdo kid taking pictures at midnight, that kinda thing.

The Swamp Thing show wasn't bad at all.

DC will forever milk Batman it seems, a lot of the animated stuff is quality at least.

It was on DC Universe, so I imagine it's on HBO Max now. Or it should be anyway, god fucking knows what that Discovery moron's done with it.

Another idea would make a different show for each member of the Bat Family

And then each season there would a crossover movie special that teams everyone up against a bigger threat

But on the shows, they would each have their separate adventures, but sometimes see others. But only in the specials would you see the entire Family team up

I know it's an issue with all superhero universes, but I think it'd strain the fuck out of belief that there are like six different superheroes all operating in Gotham and they only occasionally team up lol.

Which one is Duke? If he's from like the past decade, I haven't read much DC Comics in a while. I know about older stuff but I haven't kept up on more recent history.

I don't know much about him either. He's a metahuman who can manipulate light and goes by the name Signal. I think he's kind of considered the Batman family's "day shift," being the only one who doesn't really work at night.
