Parts: i5-#400 + rtx #060 (ti/super/whatever)

Price: significantly less than the highway robbery fees both Sony and Microsoft get away with to make their consoles seem "affordable"

My pc is a good bit stronger than ps5 and was put together in the year 2018. That said it did cost me a little more than 2 grand at the time. It is barely stronger than xbox series x as well (im using 2080ti and a 9900k).

A 4060 build should cost a lil under 1 grand going by a current 3060 build being possible for a lil under 1 grand. 4060 should be a good % stronger than ps5 assuming its as strong as the current 3070 which is 2080ti tier.

Still not ps5 price level tho but not that much more expensive. Idk if its actually possible to match price without buying used parts or just upgrading gpu from older pc

How come all the RTX cards cost almost as much and more than a PS5

I mean, sure, you have been able to build a PC more powerful than the PS5 for a long time if you were ready to pay for it.
The Titan X GPU is 6 years old and is more powerful than the PS5, but it also had a price of $1200.
