Just beat the game and have to say I loved it

The story never felt boring or dragged, decent boss fights and always getting a new weapon when I wanted to change things up

Reminded me of Uncharted 2 in a lot of ways

Can't believe I thought this game was supposed to be one of the "bad ones"

If they had the more refined movement and shooting of the Revelations games, it would place a lot higher for me.

The stop and pop style of shooting is lame AF and there is no excuse for it.

did you play it with a friend? I heard its really good for co-op but when I played it I was on my own and it was a slog to get through.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's my favorite one too.
Co-op mercs/mercs reunion is the high point if you likes trying to melee everything.

As for the negative reception, we're simply at a point in video games where people will disparage a game for focusing on gameplay instead of shallow graphics, atmosphere or who knows what else. Some people who aren't very good at video games like to blame the controls or pile on the AI but at least you can laugh at that group. Things won't get better.
