I've known a lot of breeds to flip out similarly if you bark at them. Hell my grandmother had a chiuhua that would give you the crazy eye if you got your face too close to his and if you didn't back off inblike 2 seconds he was biting your face.. Meanwhile pits I've had would either start barking back or as my family calls it "brffing" where it'd just like really low quite bark. Well they never barked back at me it's like they didn't realize the sound came from me. --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!" People not making it a point to show they are stronger aka establish dominance. I don't do it through abuse but playing with my dog. As long as my dog seems to be having fun with it I'll manhandle them and flip em around and shit pin them etc. At least in my expierence pits love that shit. They are high energy animals and you gotta give it to em I miss my last pit. That dog had some high energy. She coulda easily lunged and wrapped her jaws around my throat with me standing. But all she'd do is plant all 4 legs in my torso and kick off landing back on her feet. I've been fucked up worse by a rat terrier. I think some people's problem when attacked by a dog is they don't wanna hurt the dog until it's too late.
