No, she hates the new movies. It's a prequel about General Grievous. He's her favorite character, and that's cool in my book because I liked him a lot at one point too.

I don't know. Where ever General Grevious' origins take place. I think aside from him and some others, a lot of the characters are original. I'm not very knowledgeable on Star Wars stuff.

He can do a lot of things with all those arms.

Yeah, I think so. I have to google most of this terminology because she namedrops a lot of planets and groups/species in the Star Wars universe. I asked her about the characters. All of the names she used are original except Greivious' real last name. I've learned more about this character on the first page alone than any of the Star Wars stuff I've paid attention to, such as his last name being "Sheelal" and that his species are called Kaleesh and they wear bone masks.

According to her, it's supposed to be about Grevious' grandmother who was only ever briefly mentioned in some Star Wars thing.

Edit - Going by what I've read so far, Grevious' grandmother and the Kaleesh/Kolkpravis people are allying with Jedis and going to war with a group called the "Bitthvrians". And one other Master Jedis that's overseeing the whole operation is a pos that discriminates against Kaleesh people and see them as lesser beings. This is honestly pretty neat so far.

Ah yes, this must be about when Grevious used to moonlight as a sex toy on Coruscant in the early days of the Federation.

Honestly the best fanfic is stuff that takes somewhat obscure bits of canon and fleshes them out.

I'm almost done reading it. Maybe it's because I'm attracted to her, and I'm just thinking with something else, but I'm enjoying this more than I anticipated. I'm usually not into fan fiction or Star Wars, for that matter, but it has me reasonably engaged.

I just got around to finishing it. It wasn't too bad actually. Seems like it could be an actual story written for some SW book or something like that.
