I disagree.

it's not a bad movie, but they tried to put so much stuff into it, it ended up feeling disappointing when they caught the enemies so early on and then they were freed to create more drama later on.

plus the MCU brand of humor didn't land with the Raimi characters, IMO.

But come on...the 2nd half is basically god-tier MCU content

For real. I saw it 7 times in theaters and never got sick of it. My favorite Marvel movie of all time and definitely the best Spider-Man movie too (better than Into the Spider-Verse too imo, which was my favorite before this).

All the hate it gets is from all those contrarian attention seekers

sorry, it wasn't for me.

but like I said, I didn't think it was bad, and I probably would have liked it more if I wasn't familiar with some of the characters from the other movies.

I loved it. Watched it 3 times when it hit streaming.

I loved that the cameos were proper characters.

They should've had a moment where Tobey and Andrew mention having obnoxious landlords. Then MCU Ditkovitch could've shown up at the very end of the movie.

I thought it was pretty bad.

I think what I love about it most is that, as a massive Spider-Man fan, it felt like a classic Parker story. Except it hits hardest because Holland's Peter had the most to lose by far.

And all because Goblin wanted to do IRL GTA

I think they're re-releasing it in theaters next weekend (9/2) with 11 min of bonus footage. I'm definitely gonna be checking that out, if anything just to see it on the big screen again.

Yep. It's coming back next weekend. Although as someone who manages a theater, I'm not particularly looking forward to another 3 hour movie to keep me there until 2 am...

I loved the ending. It's fucked up and depressing but it also finally feels like the Spider-Man I know from the comics. I really hope there is at least 1 more movie to explore the aftermath of No Way Home
