Not really, Melee Canderous can solo the game

Now that I have four squad members I just wanna dump Carth's ass in the HQ. But I've been using him as a meat shield and the other characters have a lot less health apart from the wookie. And while wookies are cool, I just prefer actual dialogue. Is there any change to playstyle I can make to make low health companions more uh, survivable?

God damn this sith dude hits like a truck. I guess I'm supposed to have Bastille in my party for this.

Honestly I don't think it's bad at all. Only downside I can think of is that health not regenerating can be annoying. It's definitely not as sluggish as the intro of Kotor 2.

If you think these characters are annoying, wait until 2 lol

What exactly does force powers being restricted by armor mean? Can you not wear body armour at all while playing as a jedi?

It means you cannot use certain Force powers if you wear most kind of armors. For Force users it's usually best to wear robes.

In KOTOR 1 there are 2 special robes that are better than a Master robe (+3 armor). The Qel-Droma robe and the one you can get on the Star Forge if you have full LS or DS allignment.

In KOTOR 2 there are several decent Force user armors available throughout the game, which usually look like dark blue or green armored dresses.
