You see a Twitter suspension for spreading misinformation or hate against minorities, and someone getting life imprisonment for criticizing the government online, and you go "What's the difference? Either support both or neither?"

If you dont like to be criticized, just say so. I do it because it annoys me that CE libs pay lip service to free speech without really valuing it. I would much rather people just be honest and say they hold other things in higher esteem than free speech. Thats perfectly acceptable, regardless of whether I agree or disagree. I may be wrong or they may be wrong, but some honesty would be nice from our moral torchbearers. Besides, people use horrible actions to dunk on their adversaries and their perceived hypocrisy all the time. Dont act like you dont mock repugs when their elected officials do something morally obscene. You just dont like it when its you.

Its hard to form a serious opinion on how good the tos is because the moderator discretion used to enforce it has proven itself inadequate. Is the site dying why the tos is what it is? I hope not, because it keeps dying so it obviously isnt working.

You're minimizing how much of an oppressive shithole it is by crying about how the same thing in the other direction is happening on social media. That must be why pro-choice views have been moderated and why Republicans live on Twitter everyday spreading lies and hatred: Because it's a leftist fake moralist safe space. Mark Zuckerberg is totally going to the homes of someone who breaks Facebook's rules and chucking them in prison or killing them. You literally can't find "dissenting opinions" on Twitter.

I'm not going to say a "real" leftist needs to agree with a hivemind or anything, but they probably shouldn't push insane conservative propaganda that social media is just like Saudi Arabia for Republicans. Especially since all evidence shows that social media is actual amoral and apolitical to a fault.
