It's being led by a voter fraud Q nut. But luckily the state makes you pay for a recount up front, and you only get reimbursed if the results change, and by change it would have to go from a yes to a no not 59.9%-40.1% to something else. And they couldn't even raise enough for a full recount they have to pick which counties they want to recount with what money they were able to raise.

Boy, if only the left would winge as hard and raise money to recount votes instead of trusting the Democratic process. Imagine having your constituents want something different than what you want. Can't happen, right?

The right found it very upsetting that the first time people actually got to vote on whether or not they wanted abortion rights protected after Roe got tossed that they lost. In a conservative no less. So rather than acknowledge that perhaps their position wasn't quite as popular as they convinced themselves it was they decided instead that it must be fraud.

The silver lining is that this constant unfounded whining will more than likely dilute the potency of such claims. The far-right's capacity to manufacture lies and outrage is bottomless, but they still need the moderate-right's support; and the longer the far-right wastes time and money crying election fraud at every turn without evidence or - more importantly - tangible victory, the more they will advertise themselves as untrustworthy losers and embarrassments.

The Republicans will never lose a vote without multiple recounts and investigations ever again. At least until they take over whatever state and ban free voting

Make no mistake, history shows that the moderate always sides with the hard right when it comes to it. It also always turns out badly for them. Plenty of traditional German conservatives found themselves the early camps for "political unreliables".
