Like maybe once in a blue moon, I'll have eaten shrimp like today and a few hours later my hands are weirdly itchy. I also have a welt between my knuckles it's weird. Not sure if it's from the oiliness of the shrimp bucket

You may be reacting to a certain chemical content, depending on where the shrimp are coming from. If that isn't something you pay attention to, you should read up on it a bit and what seafood is safest to consume.

It is an allergy to something used in the plant that processes them or some chemical that came from where the shrimp were sourced. If you are talking about shrimp from a not crappy restaurant you can ask where they get them from (or if it's from a grocery store you can look up the brand) and find out what might be giving you issues.

I wouldnt recommend doing this without supervision in this case, but rubbing a small amount of a potential allergen on the inner forearm, where the skin is thin near the wrist, is an actual method to test for dermal allergies.

TC, is there any chance youve been exposed to Monkeypox?

Crap. I didn't want to think that's what it was but I was reading up on shellfish allergy and one of the symptoms is chest pain and I did have mild chest pain after eating it. It went away after a few hours and isn't nearly as bad as heartburn or anything like that but... it did happen.

This I'd be more willing to believe, considering the high levels of pollution in the ocean. But also terrifying considering what mercury does to the body.

I also ate a lot of shrimp, it was the only thing I've eaten all day. I mixed it with a salad to make a shrimp salad.

Times change, you change. I used to eat a ton of sugar, past 5-6 years any time I have an excessive amount of it, I start coughing uncontrollably. I still have it time to time, but I hold off on it.

I have a weird throat with thick saliva. Probably has to do with my diet, which isn't the greatest. Anyways, things like rice, and sugar get caught in the back of my throat and irritate it. In small doses it usually goes away with water, but on excess not all of it washes down properly, and ergo, I start coughing and it just doesn't go away.

I thought for a while it was the aftermath of when I caught H1N1. But randomly I stopped eating junk food and drinking soda and my cough went completely away. Now I just need to be mindful of what I have and when I have it.
