masterpug53 08/09/22 9:48:31 AM #15:	Probably my favorite MCU D+ series, but not really 'hype' levels (as in, I might casually tell a friend that it's worth watching if they're already into MCU stuff, not 'omg you need to check this show out!'). The lead actress was very endearing and the family stuff was the main draw of the show. I was unaware of Partition (my only knowledge of that time period was the movie 'Gandhi,' which was probably a little one-sided), and actually appreciated that the show jammed a little historical education into my goofy comic-book punch-em-up. The villain / overarching plot was crap, which is still pretty average for the MCU as a whole (especially in origin stories), so I didn't go in expecting much different. The show has good bones in Kamala and her friends and family and it keeps the series overall enjoyable, but it should have stayed in Jersey the entire time. It's two-episode trip away from there destroyed the pacing, made her powers somehow more confusing and took away from developing her supporting cast, just as we were really getting to know them. Not story related but I felt that the show had a very prominent artistic style that also kinda vanished when they left Jersey and never really came back. And the villains were very easily the worst villains in the MCU.
