Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Didn't kill it, but... I'm a Worms fanatic, hundreds of hours on each game. They recently released Worms Rumble and it was supposed to be an online death arena kind of thing, thought it looked potentially fun. Well it was dogshit, and I was looking forward to it. And now i'm still kind of sour about it, but i've gone back to Armageddon since. --- Eradicate but vindicate as "progress" creeps along. Tekken 6. was pretty active in local competitions up to 5DR. I really don't know how they fucked it up this badly, either. Give a campy story, give a fun world to play in for silly/engaging gameplay, boom done. Instead we got something that took itself way too seriously and a story that, despite the low, low, low, low tidemark for story quality in the Dead Rising series was pretty awful. --- My love, we'll make it. These actually were the last entries in the series- C&C 4 - While the plot was a little more satisfactory than expected (hard to top C&C3), WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE WHOLE GAMEPLAY?!?!? It went from a traditional resource management/base building RTS to .. randomly spam units (some of which you could only unlock through multiplayer) KQ 8 - You play as somebody completely unrelated to any previous characters - this would be fine if there was a reason for it, like in KQ 4 and 6. Then it changes from an adventure game that actively discourages fighting/violence to.. a hack and slash potion spammer. Ultima 9 - Am ambitious story/plot line that stretched all the way back to Ultima 1 (two decades) that missed a lot of potential connections, but worse had the character completely unaware of pivotal plot points from the previous games for no reason. To add insult to injury, the game play changed to even more of a clumsy hack and slash that often had graphical errors (Ultima 8 had made the already poor change from a top down real time RPG to a 2-D platformer). And then the whole game was riddled with game ending bugs!!!! ... Copied to Clipboard!

I've have beaten the sequel, and or sequels to some of these games. But they were definitely the start of me feeling done with said series. Pokmon Sw/Sh. I was already a bit wary with the direction that the series was heading in Gen 6 and 7, and Sw/Sh seemed to double down on the worst of the franchise's tendencies while simultaneously being throughly lazy. It's clear that GameFreak is not interested in ever improving the franchise at this point and are clearly able to court a profitable player base while going down that path.
