I don't really care about all the bells and whistles, but my PC struggles to run games from 10 years ago and I definitely think it's time for an upgrade. I have such a huge backlog of games that I think I'm set for a while, but something that I can easily upgrade via parts would also be great. Also, do I need to buy Windows again? My graphics card fried a while back and I've been using an onboard video card for about 8 years now if that puts things in perspective. You don't need to buy Windows, you can just install it for free but it'll just have the need activation watermark on the bottom corner. You'd be better off buying from a boutique builder instead of the HPs and the Alienwares of the world. Some builders/SIs still use proprietary parts and even BIOS to lock the platform so you can't swap parts or fiddle with settings that easily.
