I wasn't required to do a thesis, but I was required to take an application sequence (similar to a minor), and for the honors program, to write a statement of academic interest

for my application sequence, I chose cognitive psychology. I wrote that I was interested in cognition, how humans and computers identify objects

I'm not interested in that stuff anymore

My undergrad thesis was on experiments I ran on anger's effects on memory. My masters was on development of visual brain networks through childhood. My dissertation was on brain functional connectivity organization in systems that support working memory.
