Every influencer from there and all these korean drama paint a nice place to live, but also point to a country still strictly marked by tradition and patriarchy. So many social rules for interaction. Such high beauty standards that have made cosmetic surgeries quite common. Also the obsession with status that makes the national college entrance exams an unofficial holiday so that kids can focus. It's a legit late stage capitalist country, made worse by standards that make China and Japan seem like a complete cakewalk (there are at least decent tips on Youtube to survive in Japan and China), the former is also why their idol industry is super toxic compared to the rest of Eastern Asia. --- "In the name of the future moon I shall punish you"-Chibi Moon ...
