I wouldn't necessarily call it a action film and more like a slasher film that fit the tone of the first Predator movie pretty well. Though that does kind of lead to my only complaint about the movie ~~if you watched the first Predator movie, it kind of fits the same beat so by the third act I kind of predicted what was going to happen.~~ It still a solid film and a great addition to the Predator franchise. Really loved the predator ~~going toe to toe with wolves and bears~~ worth watching for sure. The budget this season was astronomical, and while it definitely showed and was worth it, the viewer numbers just weren't quite there to justify that amount of money to a production company imo. There was some weird contract that if a 20th century movie were to be released, it would have to stream on HBO Max, so to bypass it they put it directly to streaming. Since Disney owns Hulu as well, they figure that service barely has that many original movies so that's why we only have it on stream.
