I'm writing a scene which takes place in a forest. It's amazing how inadequate my skills are to describe the bark of trees, the dirt floor, the tall grass, etc. Especially since there's a rock ridge. Like, there are at least seven different types of ridge and I didn't realize that until just now.

The forest reminded me of the broccoli I never wanted to eat as a kid, so Id put it in my underwear and ask to use the bathroom. I was young back then, that was before a different forest grew in my pants.
