Not even sure if it's worth guessing where we're going next now but I'll try. I don't think Walt and Jesse will be in this ep and I think it's going to focus on Gene and Jeff "breaking bad."

Let me ask you guys something. What was the deal in the last episode? That guy was the cab driver? But he's a different actor from the first guy.

They re-casted the guy. Definitely jarring, but the new guy seems less intimidating, so maybe it worked out better for the plot.

Original actor had scheduling conflicts. Wouldn't look too much into it just go with it lol

Do we think she Kim Wexler will die?

My story sense says maybe yes but I heard Bob Odenkirk talk at length on this and he gave off a hint that, as far as the show goes, death is not her destiny.

I don't think Kim will die and I also think BCS will have a "happy" ending for Gene/Jimmy, unlike BB's with Walt.

Now I'm not sure if that means Kim and Jimmy will get reunited or not but I hope so lol

I'm waiting for the misdirection. The writers love doing that. I could see the Walt and Jesse scenes being a 5 second cameo of them on the news or something like that.

I think it will be bittersweet. Relatively speaking, Walt got the "bad" ending and Jesse got the "good" ending in El Camino, so I think Jimmy will get something in the middle. I want him to have a good ending, but I also still think he needs to face some repercussions as well for all the bad he did. Out of all the typical endings that get talked about by fans all the time, I think Jimmy going to prison, but being popular and well liked by everyone and still giving out legal advice to his fellow prisoners might be my favorite. Or maybe Kim and Jimmy do "reunite", but still can't or won't get back together.

but i've been thinking about the show. there was a lot of chat at the end of BB of whether walt had to die in the end.

i don't think saul does. but jimmy's history has been that he has fooled around and the people around him have suffered consequences for it. i am grimacing thinking of how that might play out in black and white nebraska...

but then again, the b&w shots could be relegated to a cold opening, teased another week, while we spend an episode in bb albequerque

Damn that was a good ass episode. Also I didn't expect Gene to be a complete sack of shit, worse than Jimmy and Saul. Dude is spiraling after that Kim call, wonder what even happened there.

"Kim Wexler? Oh she's on her honeymoon she'll be back in a few days" would be more soul crushing. Also we have at least one more scene with her I'm hoping.

I was thinking he spent the entire thing begging her not to hang up judging by his body language.

What if he let it slip where he was and he was fighting her not to come find him. And now he's doing the identity fraud thing to try and steal a new identity on his own.

Nice touch having this episode titled Breaking Bad, because in classic Breaking Bad fashion this episode title had double meanings. It featured scenes that took place in the Breaking Bad timeline, and also illustrated how Saul/Gene just cant help himself and continues to break bad at every opportunity.

I can also see signs of why the writers talked about Breaking Bad being seen in a different light after BCS. The Saul/Mike scene (quite possibly their last ever scene together) really emphasized that Saul could have simply moved on and not aligned himself with Walt. Instead he ignored Mikes advice and went to go visit Walt at the school shortly after that, which set in motion the events of the rest of the series. Makes you wonder if Saul was the real cancer all along.

I wish we could hear what happened to Kim. My guess is she moved on and didnt want to hear from him.

Cranston did not miss a step. He fell back into playing Walt, felt like early breaking bad again. Aaron Paul definitely sounds and looks too old for Jesse though.

In the end, Saul never dealt with losing his brother, Kim, Howard and his lifestyle. Its ballsy to make him the cause of breaking bad but it works imo. Mike was always against Walt being a part of the business but Saul didnt listen.

so if saul is the catalyst to all the tragedy in breaking bad, can the show end with him still being at large?

No it absolutely does not. He was way past that point when Saul shows up. Walt and Jesse had already cooked pounds of meth and killed people.

I feel like they really focused on Marion having a computer. Wonder if she's gonna see some Saul shit online or if she's too busy with the cats. I'm guessing she'll be a major player in the next two eps tho, she's already suspicious.

Yeah she is. No she is not too busy with the cats anymore. That last scene where she gets up, she took great offense at the way he treated that dog, and she is starting to understand that he's not coming around just to say hi and shit. She understands when he comes over, her son changes his mood and they go to the garage. Yes, this will be big.
But I do not know how. It's easy at first to think that she is going to rat him out, etc, and she very well may still....BUT...
By the end I figure this last mark he's chomping at the bit to get done will be his ultimate downfall, the way to the end of his saga. Busted by the cancer man. Undone by his hubris, his ugly nature that he can't change or conceal about himself.
He is going to wake that guy up and Saul is bust-ED! Hauled off, breaking news coverage.
BUT STILL, there is the Kim factor...
