I recently got a Galaxy S21 Ultra and I'm pleased with it. So the S22 I would have to imagine is even better, although when I was demo-ing the two out in the store I couldn't really notice that many differences aside from the camera design. I think the S22 was slightly bigger?

Pixel 6 is a total shitshow of issues.

Google normally gets one thing completely wrong, historically the battery life. This time they put in an acceptable battery and managed to break everything else.

S22 Ultra 10 times out of 10.

Google doesn't know how to do hardware and Samsung has better software support.

S21 is better than the S22 overall. Wait for the S23.

As someone with a Pixel 6 Pro since launch and moved from iPhone 12 Pro, between your two options, S22 Ultra, even though I never used a Galaxy phone.

I fell for the marketing way too hard. Pixel 6 Pro is not ready for prime time flagship level of phone. I regret my choice significantly, and I'm just waiting for the iPhone 14 Pro to be released in September to go back to iOS.

I just recently got a Pixel 6pro and I will honestly say I've had literally no issues with the phone. No real modem issues. Phone has gotten a little warm but never thermal throttled. Battery lasts all day averaging over 6hrs screen on time with at least 20-30% going home. It's honestly been shocking how good it's ran despite all the complaints I've heard online.

I think the main issue that happened was Google pushed a lot of bad software updates and caused a lot of issues when the device updated and retained bad data. I made sure to update mines then factory reset to be on a clean slate and it's been perfect. I'm also not a fan of Samsung's software so Google has always been my preferred devices. Either way with some many complaints online it surely has issues but it's been great for me.

I find this particularly ironic since Pixel devices are notorious for slowing down and becoming incredibly buggy.

Loving my Pixel 6a but between those two? Probably the S22 Ultra. I tried a Galaxy A53 and it was lazy. Samsung's software requires a quality processor to run smoothly, which the S22 Ultra has.

It's a Chinese brand called Nubia, owned by ZTE

picked this one because I was sick of all the bundled crapware on Samsung phones, and this one still has a headphone jack

same here with my pixel 6 pro. phone has been fine. some signal issues were i live but better than the s9+ i had with t-mobile before. i switched back to verizon with the pixel 6 pro. think they just screwed up something around where the signal just sucks where i live. friends have issues as well with all different phones so know it's not just the phone.

i would still go with the s22+ and that's what i wanted to get but they only had the 128gb model and since you can't just put in an sd card that doesn't really work anymore. so went with the pixel 6 pro 512gb. did the trade in deal so it only cost me $10 a month. but next phone planning to get like the s24+ or whenever this phone craps out like the old s9+ was only getting 2 hours battery life on that and switched out the battery 3 times and none improved it. just all the software upgrades using way more juice.

I've had a pixel 2xl for almost 5 years now. Crazy how fast time goes by. Might upgrade to a 7. I dunno. I enjoyed it so far. No more software updates for me though from google, and battery life has taken a hit. Also slowed down a little and somewhat glitchy now.

Depends on your carrier if they'll allow them or not, but if supported realme, Redmi, red magic, poco, and the r variant OnePlus phones will have some top tier chipsets with one or two hardware tradeoffs (typically camera) for midrange or lower prices.

Yeah I got a Pixel 6 and I don't have any of the issues listed here. I live in a foresty area and never dipped below 3 bars, never dropped calls etc. Phone isn't slow by any means either, and not having a billion Samsung apps that do nearly nothing is really fucking nice. Samsung's UI is also dogshit, which Google's UI tends to be good.

I mean Google wrote the fucking guideline on UI that literally every modern web dev and even Apple uses, so yeah not really that surprising. Samsung just ignores that shit and puts something much worse on there. I used to do professional UI so yeah that shit hurts my eyes, and it's shocking people have just learned to deal with it cuz Samsung's been dominant for so long.

Never forget the power of simply having gotten used to something. It defeats logic so many times

Yeah, no. Google is so far behind Samsung nowadays that it's insulting. They're finally adding shit Samsung had years ago.

Don't even get me wrong, Samsung has been having lots of issues lately and they're extremely shit in many areas, but Pixels are near trash and this is coming from someone who gets almost every Pixel and Galaxy phone.

Also the issues with the Pixel 6 are objective. Just because you haven't experienced them doesn't mean that the tons of people that have had issues didn't.
