Commercial, not residential. Of all the jobs I've had I enjoy this one the most. I'll never love my job but I certainly don't hate it or dread getting out of bed in the morning. The term "engineer" is very loose as I don't have an engineering degree and I'm not doing engineering work like autoCAD or anything. It's been a challenging position because some of the things I push for on projects are costly and not usually required for the project to be built, and so I have to justify myself a lot. I'm not good with conflict but it's a good way to learn and get experience with it. AldousIsDead posted... Environmental Consultant. Great gig. There was always a decent amount of variation in the work and I could make up my own solutions to problems. Covid was too much. You're a nurse. When covid hit, did they bring out a refrigerated trailer to store dead bodys in because the morgue was overfull? That's what happen to mine about 5 times.
