Future Connected doesn't seem to matter that much? The fog exists in it, but it functions pretty differently than the fog in this. It's more like a preview of the worlds joining I guess...?

Due to Elden Ring its not even gonna win any genre awards.

I'm barely scraping into Chapter 6 because almost every non-party member Ascension quest became available at the start of this chapter, and they're all in depth fully voiced 1+ hour affairs.

I need to get Soulhacker to level 10 on Lanz so I can do the quest but I really don't want to actually do the legwork for the class right now. I hate to use coins on an S rank leveling speed but...

He's going to a do 2nd stream next week and planning on it being 3 hours long

if they stick to it Xenoblade 3 will have more coverage on GB than all other games in the series combined

Oh, I picked up another Memory Locket somewhere. Was just trading more silver coins when I noticed a 1 next it in the list. Definitely did not trade 99 gold coins for it, lol. I have a Brute Memory already too. So I only need to spend gold coins on the cheapest thing! Though I can see how having multiple Brute Memories could be good for tough fights.

Just save gold coins for a level 10 gem imo

Cutscene/battle-wise, that felt like the end of a chapter, but plot-wise it felt like Chapter 4 was really short if it's already over. I felt the same way about Chapter 2, but figured that was still in the intro territory. I saw someone say that this is the shortest Xenoblade if you cut out all the side content, and so far I can understand that.

Luckily the side content is mostly really good, so of course I want to do it all, lol. I'm at 62 hours, so I mean the game overall is obviously meaty and this is not a complaint. I just keep getting surprised that the chapters are ending so (relatively) suddenly. Granted I haven't progressed since the battle, so maybe the chapter isn't over and this whole post is pointless.

Chapter 5 is a WHOPPER don't worry.

I'm only 2 MSQ beats into Chapter 6 and am at 84 hours.

I saw some people saying that as well (and maybe it's true), but note that using howlongtobeat or something for an estimate at this point is going to be biased downwards because the people who have already beaten the game so soon after release are going to disproportionately be those beating it faster than average.

Wait, did you beat chapter 4 or the mid-chapter 4 climax? Chapter 4 is definitely the longest of the first four chapters in terms of mandatory content. If you just got the punch you've got a good bit left.

I think chapter 5 has less plot than chapter 4 too (though I'm not done it yet so I could be wrong) but it has a ridiculous amount of optional content, so it'll take longer. Chapter 3 took me longer than 4 for the same reason.

Chapter 5 has an "End of A Realm Reborn" tier cutscene at the ends as well, don't forget.

They didn't have the decency to give a warning though, unlike that game!

It did appear to just be a mid-chapter climax, lol. Now I'm doing the next hero quest.

Though I gotta say, after those scenes, I am curious how things are gonna play out in the future regarding Cammuravi, since I'm pretty sure that's him there as the second to last hero class. Well it's pretty obvious that most of these soldiers are just being cloned and redeployed, given Eunie's "flashbacks", plus Ethel mentioned something about him choosing rebirth. So I suppose they've already set up ways for him to return.

I'm on chapter 5 and I know it's supposed to be a moment of major discovery for the heroes but the Scottish or Irish doctor asking "So who wants to know how babies are made?" was the funniest fucking thing in this game.

I loved that scene, especially right after!

Also Monica's jiggle physics were highly distracting when walking and talking.

Woohoo, I was overleveled enough to complete the Colony 11 quests right away. One of the fights took two tries, but I still managed to complete the first big quest at level 50 and the second at level 51. Surprising amount of personality put into the 11 NPCs.

I was a little annoyed at the party saying no one can blame N for the choice he made too. WTF, guys? You can totally blame a guy for slaughtering tens of thousands of innocent people.

Chapter 3

Cutscenes sure have a new flavor when every character is set to the Yumsmith class

I set every character to stick to their default look long ago. Couldn't take the sillyness for some of them anymore and their defaults are so good.

My post about Chapter 4's plot feeling short is really funny now.

I ain't setting anyone to a specific look until they've mastered everything... and no i can't bring myself to nopon coin anything so everyone appears to have 3 classes at 1 still atm

Does having a hero with a class boost cp gain for that class if you don't have any of your characters using it? My only war medic is Lanz who is already at a 10 with it, and nobody else has it unlocked yet. If I use the hero for it does that count?

Yes, having the Hero in the party counts.

When I heard there was an M and it was a woman, I figured it was either Mio or her dead off-seeker friend.

I'm excited to see this city and find out if it'll be a giant barrage of side quests.

Also secretly hoping there's still a nopon village somewhere... with a giant barrage of side quests.

Mio in the Guardian Commander look has been my favorite so far

Mio is the only character I have permanently in her season pass outfit because it's just so damn good. Everyone else I switch around for the most part. I like Eunie in Flash Fencer a lot though. Also Taion in Strategos

Strategos in general is one of my favourite outfits. I used it on Noah for the longest time.

Sena and Taion are the best alternate outfits imo

Ended up spending my entire play time today just re exploring previous areas after I got the climb ability
