this is something that always blocks me in my online dating attempts. You know how a good text convo leads to a date but as soon as the date is over... then what?

It can even be a successful date with a girl, but right after all that, I'll struggle to restart a new convo with her on text.

If I just thank her for the date, she will just say likewise and the convo immediately ends. What else can I talk to her about then?

Have you tried texting "please respond"?

tbh if you struggle its because there wasnt a good connection

say you had a good time and followup in something you talked about

and if you cant come up with something, theres a reason. Not every date, even if the date was just fine, is going to lead to something more

when you leave the date, say "text me when you make it home safe", if you liked her. Hopefully she gives you something to work with in that text

just be yourself

if you have to do more than that she is not interested

or if yourself is bad then fix it first

I always thought this text would sound abit creepy.

If the date went well try to make plans for another date. If that works out youre good. Otherwise dont message her, let her dictate texting cadence.

how many times have you met in person and assuming youve met more than once, do you struggle to have a conversation in person?

if youre better at having conversations in person, why not try talking on the phone instead of texting or maybe even a video call every once in awhile, that way you can see her since your problem seems to be through texting instead of an actual conversation

You aren't asking her out again? That part seems obvious.

Also, how are your dates ending? Is there chemistry? Do you actually want more? I know almost no one here will listen to me about this, but there is a reason I kiss them every single time on a first date assuming there is a connection.

If you feel the date went well, I would think a simple "Hey, had a great time tonight, we should do that again sometime soon." and wait for a response.

Then maybe a few days later if you have a good idea for another date hit her up with something like "Hey, I was reading that ______ is happening this weekend. If you're not busy, I think it would be pretty cool if we can go check it out together.
