I read this magazine article the other day that someone posted on here that suggested Patrick Stewart as xmen's prof x and honestly I now want that.

Also I think he's way better suited for Mr sinister or tombstone. Just a role that could match his intensity.

With him and Wilson fisk, marvel would finally have good villains. Nay, great villains.

The ideological differences between Professor X and Magneto are meant to represent the ideological differences between Dr. King and Malcolm X. It makes sense that one or both actors would be Black.

If Magneto is a survivor of the Rwandan genocide, he'd be the same age Magneto was when X-Men began in the 1960s.

Dude does need to mix it up. He just plays an endless series of manipulative, controlled villains.

Professor X would be a good change of pace. He can be a manipulative, controlled hero.

I think he'd fit just fine, similar voice and tone to the character.

not opposed, he definitely seem like good acting choice, but don't you think we should go with someone perhaps a little younger?

I'd be down for this. Hes been nailing the villain roles he's had, so it would be interesting to see how he does in a protagonistic role.

I can see him as Xavierin an Onslaught trilogy.

This sounds absolutely amazing. It's a little awkward to move away from the original timeline with magneto being a victim of the Nazis but it's impractical to keep that today. It could be really awesome to see a different interpretation of prof x as well.

That's actually false. Magneto and Xavier were based on the Israeli Prime ministers Menachem Begin and David Ben-Gurion respectively during the British Mandate for Palestine.

He was not, that was from a reboot that came long after the character was created.

How is it anymore impractical than having a soldier from WWII being a member of the Avengers?

He's fantastic in The Boys, and I'm sure he could get the character of Charles down, but I need to see what he looks like completely bald first to see the full vision.

Would be acceptable casting, but part of Charles's characterization is he comes from a place of privilege, as in both his powers are easy to hide and he would not have personally experienced regular racism. It can be reworked I guess, but it was more Magneto that experienced regular racism on top of fear of mutants.

Definitely not too evil vibe though. Prof X needs a hint of shadiness.

He's one of the most manipulative and arrogant people in comics, he wipes people's memories to cover up his fuckups, and he's been coasting on an undeserved reputation for benevolence for decades.

Which he excels at. He has the rare talent of actually making you truly despise him without needing all that much exposition. Many actors fail to really draw any emotion but you know s*** gets real when Giancarlo appears on screen.

Are we gonna have another "kingpins supposabe white!" Meltdown... personally as long as the actor fits the character who cares. I thought mcd was fine.

I'd like to see Krondon as Tombstone. He was great as Tobias Whale in Black Lightning. Tombstone is another mob guy so I bet he would nail it.

It's not though, why do people always say this?

His powers make him age much slower, boom, problem solved.

They can totally change Mags to be tied to pretty much any genocide and it'd be fine, but to act like WWII just doesn't work anymore is silly.

People thinking Xavier is the nicest guy is hilarious. He's arguably worse than Magneto, at least if you're allied with him, because Mags is at least generally respectful and forward in his dealings with allies. Xavier will mindwipe you at the drop of a hat if he feels it's better for you based entirely on his own determination of what's "better" for you.

That guy can only play Gus-type characters. He has no range.
