I really hope they don't blow their load on Secret Wars too early.

Secret Wars should be the big grand finale for the MCU.

There's really no way to raise the stakes higher than "Multiversal war and outer dimensional beings who destroy realities on a whim"

Though I'm guessing Multiverse Saga would be the name of the second event and not a movie since the first event is called the Infinity Saga.

After a quick google search, I'm intrigued by the Thunderbolts...

After searching for this, every link to the story on every major comic site leads to a 404.

I wonder if they all got a cease and desist or if it was fake.

Secret Wars - There's two "Secret Wars" storylines in the comics but this is most likely based off of the 2015 storyline, where Dr. Doom gained the powers of the Beyonder and in order to save the multiverse, combined all of the various multiverses within the Marvel multiverse (such as Earth 616, Marvel Zombies, the Old Man Logan universe, the Ultimate universe, etc.,) to create Battleworld. Then he became God-Emperor and ruled over the entirety of Battleworld. This storyline basically served to "reset" the Marvel universe while giving them a way to bring characters like Miles Morales and Old Man Logan into the main Marvel universe. Another interesting tidbit is that in this storyline, Doom made Susan Storm his wife and Dr. Strange was his right-hand man. He also bodied Thanos almost instantly.

Rumors are saying that Kang will be the Big Bad instead of Doom, but my theory is that at some point, Doom will usurp Kang's throne.

Thunderbolts had multiple iterations of the team. The very first one was created when Baron Zemo recruited a group of supervillains and disguised them as heroes, though many of the people on the team went on to genuinely reform. Later on, the team would be led by guys like Hawkeye, Luke Cage and General Ross (who was Red Hulk at the time). In the MCU, it's probably going to be a group of anti-heroes like U.S. Agent, Yelena Belova, Taskmaster and possibly Zemo himself.

The other stuff doesn't have any immediately obvious link to anything from the comics, though I'm sure they'll borrow certain elements from specific storylines.

Thunderbolts and Lightning: Very Very Frightening

Considering DC needs all the help it can get, they might as well make a movie where one of the DC villains accidentally destroys that weird barrier between the DC and marvel universes which is actually canon in both universes.

Yeah, I'm assuming Multiverse Saga is the overall name for everything from Wandavision up to Secret Wars.

With Tony and Steve gone, I'm struggling to care about The Avengers. Those two basically are the team.

He's in Ant-Man 3, will presumably be in the next part of Loki, and I would imagine will be in Secret Wars (I'm guessing that Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars will be a two-parter a la Infinity War/Endgame) unless that KD cliffhanger is Doom killing Kang and taking his place as big bad.

So about the same if not a bit more as Thanos was in the Infinity Saga.

This makes it seem like these are coming up soon. Like end of Phase 4/start of Phase 5. I guess they're probably doing a two-part Avengers again.

My guess for the unannounced schedule so far is

Mutants
Captain America 4

Kang Dynasty
Secret Wars

Kang might end up causing/leading to Doom becoming the main.

Can't help but feel like this Multiverse arc has been kind of a diarrhea fart so far

Do you actually believe there will be a point where Marvel just says okay, were done making movies after this one, no more billions for us.

Probably not given He is in Antman 3 and is almost certainly in Loki Season 2. Plus given the established lore from Loki Season 1 killing a single Kang won't stop him.

This is a fantastic idea to unite all the Marvel universes. Have Kang wreck shit for Doom to "save the day" but kind of take his place.

What they should do is the World War Hulk story.
