If so, what are your thoughts? I live alone and work about 40-60 hours a week and my cooking skills consists of mainly eggs, proteins, and sandwiches. Im tired of eating out all the time and throwing away groceries after they expire because Im either too lazy or tired to cook.

I just finished hello fresh. It was good for a change but became a chore. It takes 30 mins to an hour to cook. I thought it would be an easy way to eat some different things and save money but I gave up because it became something I had to do or would feel bad throwing out food.

I may try one where you just put it in the microwave next. Im like you. I work a ton and eat out way too much because its easier than cooking.

I was looking into Factor 75 because I want to get back into shape and they offer a keto menu that actually sounds pretty good. They say only a couple minutes in the microwave and/or oven. They have a plan where you get 6 meals a week for around $40-$50 which is not bad at all. I think Im going to give it a shot.

My wife and I did Hello Fresh. It was ok, the meals were delicious. The cook times were not bad, but there were many times where we were missing ingredients or the ingredients were past their date. We ended them maybe a year ago. There is another one my wife saw that we may try, I think it was Freshly.

I got a free sample from Blue Apron I think, back when these things were new and promos were free or cheap. It was decent, but the quantity was lacking, and some of the veggies weren't as fresh as others.

We've been getting Freshly meals for a few months and they're pretty good.

There's only been one that I've tried that I won't pick again.

We do Hello Fresh occasionally (got a box coming in an hour, actually).

They're nice recipes. It's definitely cheaper to just buy the ingredients separately, but I do like the convenience every now and then.

I had a free week of a local meal prep thing.

It was okay. It did feel like becoming a chore to do especially when you werent in the mood for whatever they give you. And once you get backed up on the food, gets to a point where you have the throw the ingredients away lol.

I can see how it would be good for some people though. I like how most of the ingredients you need and the exact amount you need is there so you dont waste anything. You cook more of a variety than what most people are used to cooking. Portions can be lacking for some people. I had to get an order for 2 people to get a good meal put of it.

Ive tried Hello Fresh, Freshly and Factor

Hello Fresh has great recipes but they get repetitive. Some take too long. And for me the calorie content was too high for a lot of them. Seems like every recipe relies on a lot of butter and sour cream.

Freshly and Factor are both great. But get old for me after a while since I dont like microwaved food that much.

Weve done Sunbasket, Freshly, Blue Apron, and Home Chef.

My wife tended to like Sunbasket the most. It was pretty pricey for me though and some of the meals were hit or miss.

BA and HC seemed decent enough.

Freshly was useful when we were remodeling our kitchen since all the meals are just microwaveable. Think, fancier TV dinners basically.

Now that my wife doesnt work she just uses a meal planning app that gives her recipes and ingredient lists to pick up from the store. Its way cheaper for sure.

They're too expensive and require subscriptions usually.
