The question was, what would CE do without karma and active messages posted? It would mean no more pulling out karma level like it was an argument. It would be the end of AMP spam. But I guess some mods didn't agree.

I think what happened last time with this form is that you gave people an incentive to spam by saying 'too much spam and tails is out.' You and me are just going back and forth, and like you said, it follows TOS. The most likely thing to make someone KOS on the site is disagreement with the mod staff, followed closely by different opinions from the mod staff.

I'm the reason Betty White had a stroke last Christmas.

A few years ago, my nextdoor neighbors moved out. It was the beginning of COVID. They had kids and schools in the area were shut down. A lot of renovations happened on their house, and new cars were in their driveway. Another area neighbor said they had moved out and I had no reason to believe otherwise.

Fastforward 2 years or so and I run into a next door neighbor and he is one of the same people. I was like "bruh what's up. You still live here?! I thought you moved out a while ago!" and he was like "wtf you're still here? I thought you did too!"

Turns out, they got new cars and had a bunch of renovations done and last year, I also had renovations done, so I was actually gone for a few months completely. We both had bad information and he assumed I moved away, I assumed his family moved away and we just did not run into each other since, but we were always on friendly terms before that so that's good. It was a funny contextual misunderstanding.

Think about it though. Imagine you've been living in the same place for years and your neighbor has too... but you assumed your neighbor moved a few years earlier and they assumed the same about you and then suddenly you run into each other right between your places 2 years later and have a laugh over mutual surprise? I dunno. It was completely unexpected but it was a fun conversation.

i try so hard to make friends wherever i go and it just doesn't work. even people i talk to here that are cordial with me want nothing further to do with me, so i don't get invited to chats/servers/game nights.
having severe rejection and abandonment issues makes the stupidest, most unimportant stuff hurtful, but on the other hand i'm not sure i'm supposed to be happy as alone as i am - no matter how much I may deserve it.
