Does this really happen? yes GOD YES LMAO When one of those posters wants to stand on a soapbox, but there's a lack of SPECIFIC offensive content they feel like debating at the moment....they just hop on an anonymous alt and post exactly the type of offensive rage bait they're in the mood for, switch to their other account and virtue bomb the alt here to incite angry onlookers to rally against the alt. This sometimes rewards the main account of the inciter with affirmation from other users. It's a cycle that feeds itself, especially on sites that don't limit or vet anonymous alt creation. One of those most common clues is when one account posts rage bait in the OP, but never posts in the topic again. It's because that account is just the strawman getting set up for another unrelated account to tear it apart. They're just too lazy to bounce between accounts. Some baiters don't make that mistake, but it's funny how often others do. Impatient people hungry for attention and praise don't always wait for a dragon to slay. Sometimes they build their own.
