It's funny for years people have been wondering how mutants would be announced in the main MCU. Do they come in from another universe? Were they always there? Did the snap cause them? Did/will Wanda cause them? Some other far fetched theory.

Well it turns out they got announced by Bruno (a sidekick teenager) in an alleyway in a disney plus show.

I just found this funny considering the years of theories about their grand announcement

Mutants are a thing in the MCU now? Finally. Now wake me up when the X-Men movie gets announced.

We still don't know the how/why behind them but I get your point. I did not expect from this show something I've speculated about so much and it really blew my mind.

Probably as simple as x-gene exists, just need an external stimuli to activate

Idk who Bruno is but "mutants" in the MCU don't matter until the X-Men are introduced.

Technically, you could argue mutants were "introduced" in the MCU via Multiverse of Madness, since Prof X had a cameo.

But yeah, I was surprised they took that direction with Kamala, since she's supposed to be an Inhuman instead.

Makes sense because Kamala was originally intended to be a mutant, but that was back when Disney/Marvel were trying to downplay mutants because of Fox

That would be an Inhuman.

My guess is they merge the two (and mostly phase out thr inhumans). Easier for the broad audience

I loved this scene, just a simple way to do something people were making overly convoluted
