Is literally a PG version of Blazing Saddles except with animals and it's a Japanese setting instead of western. Really caught me off guard when I was forced to watch this bad movie with my niece and nephews. How the hell did they hear about it is beyond me. I literally thought they were joking when they told me the title of the movie. Well it was either this movie or Minions 2 and I'm glad I didn't have to watch Minions.

The animation is top notch, otherwise yeah it's a movie you only want to watch if your kids drag you to it.

Not around a campfire, but yes there is a fart scene similar to it. In fact this movie is littered with fart jokes it's not even funny (figuratively and literally).

When you say it's a PG version of blazing saddles are you including the stinging commentary about the overt racism in old western flicks, or just the part about an outsider becoming a sheriff?

More about an outsider becoming a sheriff, or in this movie a Dog entering a Cat village becoming a samurai. But when I mean Blazing Saddles I really mean it. They even parodied other characters like Mongo and Taggart. Hell they even have Mel Brooks in the movie. I'm not kidding you that's it's literally a PG version of Blazing Saddles that no kid is ever going to know about.

It's literally based on blazing saddles so that makes sense it resembles it.

I saw a trailer for it once and it looked like it was trying to be a Kung Fu Panda spin off.

If they've seen literally any other PG movie in the last few months, then they've seen Paws of Fury advertised. I saw Bad Guys and The Bobs Burgers movie and there was a Paws of Fury preview both times.

And yes, the movie is inspired by Blazing Saddles.

You know, its inspired by [Blazing Saddles], Rob Minkoff, director of the new film, told Variety. Then it became a fable. Because it wasnt originally intended to be a fable, but that was actually my contribution which was that we make it a story about a dog in a world of cats who dont accept him because hes a dog. The idea of that is, its a metaphor of the same kind of story and same kind of situation. But it becomes more universal.

No interest in seeing it myself though. Lots of big names in the cast, but the plot looks terrible.
