I'm thinking I might try to invest in something like this and try to get it placed in a hospital or something. People are always drinking coffee or tea. Hospital coffee is trash. Some hospitals have cafes and the lines are usually long and their hours are trash.

And I don't mean the american latte serving machines. I mean the same ones that are in japan where you get a closed container hot drink.

They used to exist in rest stops along the interstate. In 1991 my family moved cross country and we drove. I remember vending machines that spat out coffee, tea, hot chocolate and chicken broth to drink

I dont think they have that as much these days but I live in Alaska now and haven't been on an interstate in years

that spat out

I guess thats the difference...the japanese machines don't spit it out into a cup. It gives you a closed bottle. But it keeps it warm the whole time.

I just find that of all the coffees and milk teas I tried in japan, they all tasted bomb, and way better than the shit lattes, teas, and hot chocolates that our vending machines spit out.

so if the american latte serving machines had lids on them, it would be the prefect answer

I know what you mean, and I believe it's because they're not hot enough to be in American vernacular considered "Hot Drinks".
They're really more "Warm Drinks", and I don't think "Warm Drinks" would sell too well.

I mean it shouldn't be that big of a deal to turn up the temperature.

At the end of the day the product is different, their product is way better and actually worth buying to enjoy. American latte vending machines are all trash and you only get it if you have no other options.

They're probably at that temperature because that's the limit of PET:
"The low softening temperature of PETapproximately 70 C (160 F)prevents it from being used as a container for hot foods."
