Little kid running away from this monster after falling in his bike.

What inspired this, you ask? I bought Far Cry 6 and it has a Stranger Things crossover episode, thus I feel inspired to watch it.

It's a great show that has a very strange charm to it. Enjoy it!

They just killed off the big nice dude in the first episode, lame.

But the episode had Africa by Toto so I'm already happy with the soundtrack.

The original stuff seems pretty good too.

I heavily disagree with that comment. Season two takes a slight quality dip, Season 3 is great, Season 4 is awesome. I think if the one episode that people hate so much in season two didn't exist, it wouldn't be as heavily criticized.

It's a case where it's the worst season of a great show, so the internet likes to claim it's garbage when it's still better than 90% of TV.

Slowly but surely, I think, yes.

Season finale was super interesting. On S2E1 was I write this.

Loved the Demogorgon stuff, all of it. Hopper...not sure I agree with his selling out the kids. But they kicked some ass(mostly 11), so not all bad. Plus Hop is awesome.

Also, Steve is kinda awesome? Is that a bad opinion to have? In one episode he went from 'fuck this guy' to 'what the fuck, why's this guy cool?'. Very nice.

Will having his whole flashes of the upside down is pretty fucked up. Hopefully he's okay, because damn.

Demogorgon dying is kinda lame, we didn't even get to see it eat anyone. :(

11 dying felt kinda...anticlimactic? She just kinda vaporized them both. It was a cool moment though. Especially killing that blonde bitch. Benny thanks her.

Edit: nvm, 11 is alive. She looks weird with hair. Does that mean Demogorgon is alive!?!??!??!

If you're genuinely enjoying the show so far, it's very unlikely that you won't continue to enjoy it for all four seasons. There's dips in quality and the occasional tonal lurch, but it stayed consistent enough that I personally enjoyed every season I've watched. Good characters are what keep me interested in continuing a show, and ST has a few really good / surprising character arcs that kept me hooked.

Alright so Will's seeing big spider monsters in the sky, Barb's parents are selling their damn house, Eleven's alive and wants to go trick or treat, the boys are Ghostbusters, Hopper gets to play dad, and Steve is still pretty awesome.

Im calling foul! Nobody in the 80s had Ghostbusters uniform that tight.

Steve has taken Hopper's place as favorite character. Besides the boys, I like all of them too.

A big chunk of Nancy's arc this season is basically an overcorrection by the showrunners over fan backlash concerning Barb's death, as in she was treated like a throwaway character that no one in-universe seemed to care all that much about. So Nancy does kind of oversell how broken up she is over it compared to S1.

I guess Nancy could be seen as grating at this point in the story, but Steve's still carrying a bit of his old oblivious jerk self at this point as well.

Fun Fact: Steve was originally written to devolve into a much darker character (even going so far as to rape Nancy in S1), but the showrunners liked Joe Keery so much that they rewrote his character. Billy was essentially brought in to fill the 'sinister bully' role that Steve was supposed to be.

Yeah, okay, I'm happier with the interpretation we got. Rape seems pretty...not great at all, yeah, I'm good without that.

That being said, Steve is just trying to do what's best for both of them. I can't see how that's oblivious, tbh. When you're pretty much following a bunch if government dudes orders, ones who have killed people for like...existing, yeah, sorry, but I'm not going to make them my enemy. I enjoy life and would want my loved ones to do the same.

And if you don't love someone, you don't just pause and stare at them when they ask. That's just a dick move, beyond grating. Just say yes, or no. Or say how you feel. Dude was heartbroken, standing there and staring doesn't help. Unless you were trying to be a jerk, in which case...mission accomplished?

I was assuming is the episode where Nancy sucked but that's every episode this season she's been featured in.

The biggest issue with it is that it cuts right in the middle of a cliffhanger.

Yeah I guess if it was placed differently it might not be so bad. But its like mostly a filler-world-building episode that completely interrupts the main storyline

I'm on episode 9 now. Steve doesn't confront Nancy about the cheating? Nancy doesn't apologize for it? He's just fine with it?

And why the fuck did Nancy need to fucking go with Jonathan anyway? Keep her with the kids or have her go with Hopper and El since she can shoot. Ffs.

Edit: also yeah, episode 7 was so boring and an easy skip. Like, bored to tears.

Edit 2: Steve got a few good hits in. Deserved to get more. Idgaf who you are, no one takes 3 straight hooks to the face and laughs it off, that was dumb.

I will never understand the hate for that episode. I thought it was fantastic. Maybe because El is probably my favorite character

I adore her, but the rest of the characters were boring as hell, it didn't fit with the show, and the dialogue wasn't great. Stuff like the episode where El goes to see her mom? That was fantastic. But that episode was just like...it was pure filler. And boring.

Decent ending. I already expected Max and Lucas together. Sad Dart died. :(

So what did closing down that location even accomplish? I assume next to nothing, since it's reason for existing seemed to be closing the gate, and that ended.

Nancy did a single good thing this season, good for her. She sucks.

I'm happy El and Mike got their dance at the snow ball. And now she's got a real dad, of sorts.

Will had a nice little ending. I just wish the kids hung out more, they all seemed to do their own thing, but we barely got to see them interact compared to season 1. We didn't even get to see any of them interact with Will. Kinda lame in that regard.

Steve was awesome. The doctor character was cool. Bob, RIP, was great. Hopper had great development.
