Junk food I don't really go to crazy with. A bag of chips(family/party sized) lasts about 2 weeks, I have a 5 pound bag of lifesavers that I've had for 6 months I guess.

But give me fruits and veggies? Gone in hours, couple of days at most. Went to Costco once and got a big bag of navel oranges, gone in three days, only because it was weekdays and I wasn't home all day. Cucumbers? Sliced up with salt and pepper half a dozen gone the first day. Party sized veggies platter? More like meal for one.

After my testicle was removed from cancer my bestie brought me two veggie platters so I could snack on them for a few days since it was hard to get up, gone in 36 hours.

I guess I could have worse problems.

The cucumber one isn't unhealthy. I guess it depends on the amount of salt you are using though. Veggie platters are also healthy unless you use the dipping sauces too.

Pretty sure eating about 5 or 6 pounds of fruits or veggies in less than two days isnt healthy. I could be wrong though.

Fruits can be regarded next to the sugar cane, with low nutrition but high energy availability. Vegetables are high in nutrition, but low in taste, and energy. On one hand, yes they're like a dessert to the Mediterranean diet, however you can mix it in dishes like orange chicken with bell peppers, cherry glaze chicken with maybe broccoli salad side, and a chicken salad with dried fruits to make them good. If a dish tastes bad like most extreme diet food, the body stresses out to maintain a health eating pattern to reach for anything sweet for energy. Remember, sugar is just energy in any food bread, vegetables, or milk. Unless ketosis but then that's another topic in itself. What I like to do is that some days. In a sense, I can have my cheat days if the dish is sweet, so I won't overindulge extra the following week needy. Fried food, well, I don't skip those. I eat a lot as an Asianophile/ Latino myself. You can consider it alternate energy, but low nutrition. Just add more produce sides in the same day or so. Fat does help metabolize minerals.
