The thing I love about Marvel movies is the spirit of the heroes. Especially the Captain America movie. Valor is a virtue that truly inspires me. Standing against great danger knowing you will probably die, but someone has to stand up and fight. That kinda stuff makes me feel like I know my true path.

Captain Marvel too when she knows she has unbelievable power, she gives up any life of her own to live helping others. That's the kinda person I look up to. That's a hero.

I used to get chills when I'd hear the Superman theme music as a kid. The thought of the miracles he would perform just seemed so beautiful and wonderful. Knowing they weren't real but believing in them anyway because even the thought of them was worth dying for. Just like a good song that connects with your soul. It isn't something you can explain. You just know it in your bones. It's who you are.

So maybe Scorsese is right, but sometimes I don't care if it's truly cinema or whatever that means. I just wanna see a good hero story. I wanna be inspired. I wanna center myself and connect with the heart of who I am and who I want to be.

Personally I agree with Scorsese on Marvel films not being very high in terms of artistic value, and I tend to personally enjoy films with more depth. That being said, Ive still seen every MCU movie and Disney+ series and enjoyed them for the most part. Colorful action can still be fun. Not everything needs depth.

i really liked the recent Tom Holland spiderman movies, infinity war and winter soldier. like a lot. but i will probably never watch them again because i picked up on everything the first time through.

its like comparing a roller coaster to an art exhibit or museum. theyre both fun and cool depending on your mindset but i definitely prefer the art exhibit/museum stuff cause it just aligns more with what Im into. generally speaking at least. this is probably a stupid analogy, Ive had a couple drinks lol

I think the only one I've seen besides Deadpool was Iron Man 1 and that movie was shit
Not everything needs depth sure, but everything needs writing and plot that isn't insulting to your intelligence. imo

Deadpool technically isnt even an MCU movie iirc
