Why do I keep you around. Half the movies on my list are about to be removed on the same day. Wtf netflix at least space out when you're going to remove these movies and shows, I dont want to watch them all in the space of 2 weeks, I want to take my time and really soak up a piece of media, not binge it and then when it's over have nothing left to watch.

Watch them sooner then? Not netflix's fault you wait till the day before a movie gets removed to show interest in it.

You finish Stranger Things? Umbrella Academy? Sandman comes out in early August and then more Cobra Kai in September.

Also, The Gray Man movie in a couple weeks looks great.

This is why I keep it.

For what Netflix costs nowadays, you're better off with the whole-ass Disney bundle.
Also, D+, Hulu, and EPSN+ have a stable library that's unlikely to go away, give or take NBC stuff.

My strategy is I save the netflix exclusives like stranger things or cobra kai for last since they're owned by netflix so they're gonna stay on the service forever, which leaves the licensed stuff belonging to other companies for watching first.

Or at least, that WAS my strategy but then they removed the netflix marvel shows even though they literally had "netflix originals" plastered on them

So now even that strategy is not a guarantee

Big question is who will own the rights to stranger things when netflix goes out of business?

Might as well buy a blu ray set if that exists

This is bullshit reasoning and you know it. How am I supposed to know what to watch first when they only announce they're gonna remove it a mere 2 weeks in advance. They couldn't make that 2 months, since they know when their shows and movies are gonna be removed years in advance? So the past few months I'd been watching something else, when I could have been watching the thing that was expiring

Oh shit I just realized netflix doesn't do physical release of their properties. There are no DVD collections for their shows or even blu-ray collections barring that

Most of them don't. I'd love the new Star Wars shows in true 4k but nope.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance not having a 4k physical release is a travesty. One of the most beautiful shows ever that at this rate will only ever be viewable in highly compressed format.

That's different from the Dark show the other user recommended?

It kinda seems like Netflix is the jack of all trades master of none situation right now. Apple is coming out with some great premium shows. I enjoyed Serverance, Ted Lasso and Trying more than any new Netflix show in a long ass time.

Other services have a lot of crap to watch for cheaper.

Netflix more seems to coast on being the first and default service.

Hulu does that weird shit of "expiring in 5 days" but then it never actually expires. They renew the rights and service continues as normal on our end. I find it hard to believe that they only find that out on the exact day they were originally meant to expire. It's sloppy af and they should be embarrassed

The so called exclusive content is nowhere near enough... and even netflix originals aren't immune from being taken down. They slapped that on the marvel netflix shows and yet those all got taken down and went to Disney plus

Netflix is okay for people like me who aren't really avid TV watchers. I only use it to watch stuff with my fiancee now. It was also the best and easiest/most convenient way to watch Supernatural, but we finished that after nearly 2 years. I also use my ex's sub so it's not like I lose or gain any money from using/not using the app.

I can imagine for people who get seriously into watching live action shows, though, it gets very frustrating. Is Pokemon still on there or did they take that off?

just rotate your streaming services or just watch what you want and cancel it for a few months till a new season of something you want. if i didn't split the cost in half with a friend i wouldn't bother keeping it around. i barely use it. i have the disney bundle free from verizon and don't even use that much either. i watch more youtube in the background than anything.
