I've been wearing em up til about last month. Literally everyone else isnt wearing one so i'd be the only freak with one if i do. And i was that freak for the previous 2-3 months.

I will start wearing one again if like 10% of the people where i live start to wear one.

Pretty much nowhere but the hospital requires masks now so I feel stupid wearing the mask but it seems more sensible.

I also avoid going to restaurants and one time I did I got sick, lol.

Nah, and Phoenix is pretty close to a 50/50 split between Republicans and Democrats and only about 5% of the people I ever see outside are wearing one still. So its not like its even political thing here.

It seems that people forgot that wearing a mask isn't about protecting yourself, it's about protecting others.

Don't mean to impose my story again, but when my dad passed away this year (not due to COVID), it was becoming very apparent to me how fortunate we were that he could get the attempted treatments, and ICU bed, and other associated care. We were also fortunate to be allowed to visit, and for extended/multiple periods of time. We've heard about other friends and family not being readily accommodated due to space shortages, and my family got the peace of mind knowing there was not could've/should've/would've regrets in play. The hospital got to exercise everything they were supposed to. That probably bought him weeks of time.

This is not to put down any COVID-positive patients, because some people are there not by choice. But damn me if I knowingly/decisively was one of them or put someone in there. No one has to sympathize, nor would I wish this situation on them (either as the patient or family), but anyone who thinks lightly of it probably won't know better until it happens to them.

So I can't be so sure how effective a mask is anymore, but whatever fraction of a % it does, I'll wear it in respect to people legitimately afraid of catching COVID.

In general, no. If I'm taking my dad to the doctor or something, I'll wear it, but not really anyplace else unless it has a sign up.

The vast majority of the time, yeah. I did go to a restaurant once or twice and didnt have a mask on for that, so I cant say that I always wear one every single time

Generally no. Once the state dropped the mandate (which was ages ago now) almost no where required one anymore, and 99% stopped wearing them (although by the end of the mandate it was probably only half wearing them anyway), so I stopped when I was just shopping or whatever. My job at that time still encouraged them, so I would usually wear one if I was in close proximity to someone, but not if I was off on my own. I wouldnt have a problem wearing one in a store if they asked, though.

Now I work at a hospital and its technically mandated, although a lot of staff are out and about not wearing one. I dont wear it in my office but I put it on whenever Im walking the halls.

I do not. I keep one in my car though, in case I go somewhere that requests it. I don't want to wear one. But I don't mind if they want me to wear one.

But I quit wearing a mask sooner than the average. I also generally try to avoid events that still have a mask mandate. Nothing against their policies but it's not something I want to have to adhere to any longer personally and as I'm not some angry Karen I'll spare them my sentiments rather than be a pain in the ass.
