Kinda need one now and I don't have enough cash. My apple stock is currently up 42% and is enough to get a decent car but it's the only stock in my portfolio that's green.

Or would it be wiser to wait and save my money to buy one next year. Just looking for opinions.

Current Events are eminently qualified to provide financial advice.

I am a Fonancial Adbisor. I dispense Funankle Abscise.

I say, sell your apples and buy helium balloons. Helium is always going up!

Nah. Dont trade an appreciating asset for a depreciating asset. Bad investment, unless you're absolutely desperate for transportation.

Now is probably a bad time to sell stocks since they have been on a downtrend for a while. You know buy low sell high not the other way around.

I would wait and save unless you absolutely need the car now. Hopefully stocks will be up and the car market will cool some by then.

Then again, if a recession is coming stocks will probably be hit hard.

Huh

It's up 42% right now despite the crash, prior it was at 62% above what I paid for which is why I'm thinking of selling it I'm up over a few thousand dollars than what I paid for it.

I thought about that but I have plenty of other investments I can sit on I need a car now since I'm having trouble getting to work on time with transit.

You should probably finance a new car if you need one. You'll probably get a rate that's low and your apple stock can continue to make gains

Yea I think nows the best time if things get worse I'd definitely won't be able to buy one in the future.

Consider offloading some of your shitty stock instead. You might be able to reduce your taxable income a bit with the net loss and salvage some money out of a bad investment.
