I've always loved the visions of Serge stabbing Kid. As a kid it threw me for a loop.

It gets a little convoluted but if you pay attention it pays off especially well.

No it does not. The whole point of CC is everything that happened in this game was "masterfully" planned by Belthasar to power up Surge and party to destroy the Time Devourer and save Schala.

Body swap! It blew my mind as a kid. I love that Kid figured it out right away too, but not before Lynx could stab her right in the guts. Also the change to Serge's character picture when Lynx is in his body is just so damn cool.

Also, the weird painting world you enter directly after Lynx tells you to go to the Sea of Eden? Fucking gorgeous!

You are free to have that opinion. I think CC is brilliant and more importantly, a fantastic game in its own right.

I love how Serge's mom believes that her son is now in Lynx's body. Also the little bread crumbs about the Sea of Eden and the change that happened in your dad when he washed up there during a storm some 14 years back!

I will say the sub-plot with Nikki, Fargo, and the whole "saving Marbule with a song" is kinda strange. Granted not like everything you did in CT was central to the main plot or anything, but it is still a STRANGE portion of the game.

Got the Fiddler Crab and saw the Masamune and going to grab Garai's Einlanzer to counteract it!

Heading into the Dead Sea and finding the spirits of Crono, Lucca, and Marle blaming you for everything. An everything you have no idea WTF is going on. Meeting Miguel who tells you your connection to this place?! Seeing that he didn't age in 14 years and the fact that time has literally stopped here... uh.... yeah.

Love how they started to capitalize "FATE" to give it some form of agency.

Gotta love "Serge" basically going to war in the other world.

I find it cool how the game accounted for your previous party members running into you as Lynx and them being like, "This is all fucked up, not sure I wanna follow you right now"

Well remember that Lynx at the time is in Other World where Serge was dead in the first place. Party members knew what happened, but the rest of the world kinda just didn't pay attention to Serge? Lynx was a big deal and people noticed he acted differently.

If you have Harle in your party she just tells EVERYONE that Lynx ain't Lynx anymore, like it's a normal thing to just swap bodies. XD

Too many playable characters is a surefire way to kill any game that isn't a MOBA or a Fighting game. Especially on an RPG.

Back to my playthru. Loved seeing Radius immediate attack the other Radius and them laugh at how similar each other are. Also you know... Kid coming to attack you. O_o

Also, Lynx in Serge's body looks the perfect amount of 90's emo badass.

All they allude to is 1 sentence. They say "someone showed up and saved her" or something like that.

I honestly have no idea.

Norris saves her. I don't believe this is ever explicitly mentioned in-game.

My god, I love that "my" Fargo just fucking takes over the Zelbess and turns it into the SS Invincible and makes fun of the little bitch that Fargo became. XD

Got Serge's body back. Fucking love that sequence when it talks about how Reptites should have led the planet but Lavos came and ruined that and "transformed apes into humans", like humans are the children of Lavos. Such a subtle little nod to what is going on and how it all is a good sequel to CT.

I couldve maybe accepted the retroactive bad ending to Trigger if their explanation wasn't that a comic relief character raised an army in a town famous for being in the middle of Bumfuck, Nowhere >_>

Like imagine if Force Awakens said that the New Republic was destroyed by Gonk Droid. <_<

Not sure what to do next, we programmed our computer FATE to basically build us a paradise, erase our minds, and let us live. Ohhh, Be Tee Dubs, seems that the Time Crash also ended up bringing an entirely different potential timeline merging into ours. In our time line the humans, possibly the results of a space parasite crashing to the planet, rule. In theirs, Lavos wasn't around and the Reptites became the dominant species. This is all combined together and now the gods of the Reptities society are fighting with our goddess FATE"

I will say that Belthasaur just being like, "Yup, I figured it out and this was my plan" was a LITTLE bit out of nowhere unless you really read through all the optional dialogue in Chronopolis. However, with context of knowing who he is, what he lived through, and that the combination of his extensive knowledge of magic as well as the time and technology of the future, it stands to reason he could come up with a plan to basically destroy a Time devouring god.
