Yeah, agree TC, it always feels like nothing is at stake even though... everything is meant to be at stake

In a normal movie you can kill off whoever you like to keep the audience on their toes, and don't have these restrictions on your story. In these movies well we know Spidey ain't dying because then there'd be no sequel! So the villian fight will inevitably be a snore

In that respect, Marvel is just doing exactly what every other Hollywood action film has been doing for decades. The hero is never expendable. The villain always loses. And by that, I mean that the villain usually ends up dead or behind bars with no concern about the body count racked up along the way.

Batman not killing villains is lame and is actually part of the reason I don't really care about it.
