First official match in amature wrestling. I was a sixth grader and as said first year practicing first match ever. My opponent was a 10th grader who had been practicing since he was 5. I only lost cause I hadn't learned to pace myself. I had him beat score wise he just got the pinfall victory. Had I enough gas in me to keep my shoulders off the mat I woulda won. My second year I faced another guy who had been doing it all his life. Don't recall what grade he was in but it was easily 11th or 12th grade. He was 5th in the state ranked. I knew I was fucked so I just made a vow he wouldn't pin me. And he didn't. I made him win by decision. It got under his skin too. Their was a prize for quickest pin of the night and I had heard his coach telling him I was his best shot at it due to my age and expierence level. Edit: side note of rambling. I'd still like to know who won that prize cause I beat one kid in like 15 seconds. Most of that just trying to get his shoulder on the mat. Took him down right away but he was a bit shorter than me so naturally heftier in order to be in the same weight class. --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!"
