Marvel Spider-Man comes close, but I remember having a better experience with this game. Glad you enjoyed it and gave it a chance.

I just finished it. Probably the best Marvel game to date, in my opinion. Loved it.

Spider-Man was fun, for the most part. I like to describe it as a really good game that have these small issues that stop it from being great, imo. Like the story, for instance. I wasn't the biggest fan of it, personally.

The game was great. Combat couldve been better but it got the job done. Really hope they make a sequel

Just out of curiosity, what was your ending? In mine i didn't pay the fine, so the Nova thing shut down my ship

But I think there are different endings.

After we beat the Grand Purifier, there was a big celebration and all the major NPCs were there. At the end, the Guardians got back into their ship when Adam Warlock starts acting weird and Magus starts taking over, so we go into his head and do one last boss fight. After that, Adam Warlock thanks the team and now Quill is concerned with how he (and the rest of the Guardians) will raise Nikki and accommodate her into the team.

Funny enough, my main concern for the game was the gameplay because there were times where the buttons wouldn't be responsive or Spidey would end up doing something I didn't make him do. It was the only game I ever played where I didn't use a the fast travel because man they nailed it at that aspect.

My only disappointment with the game is the lack of a major narrative sequence with Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" blasting in the background. Wtf, devs!?

I'm a bit farther than you (well, a fair bit) and yeah it definitely gets better but I was hooked almost immediately as well. It's a super charming game and I love the combat as well.

It's kind of a weird mix between the MCU and comics because the setting and stuff is clearly based on the comics, but the characterization is more from the movies.

Did The bestest boy Cosmo and/or Nova Core come help you during the ship infiltration part? I actually got both to help which I hear some miss out on. Seriously Cosmo is now one of my favorite characters in Marvel because of this game.

My beef besides the gameplay dragging after awhile was there was so much dialog that it overlapped itself. Could walk a foot forward in the middle of a great conversation just for it to cut off and start talking about something else

I agree on this. I missed so much fun dialogue because I walked too far ahead.

Because of this game, I've found myself saying "Flarg/Flark" a lot in place of "Fuck".

Also, did anyone else close the refrigerator every chance they got? Turns out, it was broken the whole time lol

Seriously, entirely too much dialogue in this game. On chapter 9 and its driving me insane how endless it is.

That's an odd take lol the writing/dialogue kinda carries the game.

I'm in the minority there. I really like the gameplay. I love sitting around and coming up with a bunch of different combos.
