I just bought something similar. More like a small one shoulder strap bookbag tho. It's super convenient. I use it to carry my water and speaker on walks.

I always considered those to be single strap backpacks as my man boobs would prevent me from me from wearing it comfortably front ended

Btw. I argue fashion is more about standing by what you wear rather than what you wear. There's extremes to not pass, but if you stay in the middle, you can just own what you wear and people accept it.

Plus, I never got why Id want to attract people who care that much about clothing and accessories when I don't. That's starting out with a conflict of interest.

Honestly I'm fine with it and hope it becomes normalized. Sometimes I have too much stuff for my pockets but not enough to adequately fill a backpack. Or I don't want my pockets to be all bulged out with all my crap.

This is really just an evolution of the messenger bag.

They have completely different use. These bags work better for athletic people. A messenger bag isn't made with climbing or activity of any kind in mind. You're not climbing the side of a steep hill and trekking the woods with a messenger bag. It's weird to call one "crap" when they have completely different lifestyle uses. Also something more simple like riding a bike is way less cumbersome with one these bags too. Messenger bags are pretty much for walking and that's it. Which, if that's your lifestyle, fine. But doesn't hurt to understand both ends

...I actually hope this is the case for more people. It wouldn't hurt for people to assume Im ready to protect myself. When really, my strategy is to just give them what they want and move on lol. Material things aren't worth fighting over.

How much stuff do you actually need when you leave the house for a few hours? Before the bag I just took what I could carry in my pockets and hands. The bag made me not have to carry my water or clip on my speaker that kicks around. Plus it holds my cards and I xan put my phone in there so I don't gotta feel them on my pockets.

Again, people have different lifestyles and this should be easy to understand. Why judge someone for using something that works better for their lifestyle.

I also wouldn't see you doing any of those activities with the bag you're talking about. Unless you're talking about having multiple bags on you which I also would imagine would be fairly dicey "climbing a steep hill or walking to the woods."
