I'm in the middle of it now actually. Killed the wolf thing and got the ring. Explored a few doors that were blocked by the shadow, then went to bed. So far, I like Myuria.

Yeah she's pretty great. Especially since magic actually scales well in this game.

Yea, this is one of the first few times I'm actually enjoying using a mage type character. Also, after only 30ish battles, she's already my third highest in battle trophies.

Also, that feel when you are this far into the game and still have 0 Spaceship data so you decide to Google it and then find out you've already missed a ton of missable ones.

It's one of the only games I ever played that put me to sleep due to its long, boring and abundant cutscenes. Gameplay was great, but everything else was trash.

And graphically it had that annoying neon shine to everything alot of early 360 games had that gave me a massive headache after long. And the main story doesn't pick up until literally the last few hours of the game.

Pretty annoyed right now. Daughter woke up as soon as I started the cutscene leading to the boss of the purgatorium, so I had to wait 30 mins or so to put her back to sleep. Came back and picked up my headphones to start the boss fight (paused it as soon as the fight started since you can't friggin' pause cutscenes in this game), and the audio broke. Usually this happens whenever you switch audio sources in older PC games, but my headphones going to sleep usually never counts as an audio switch. Decided to just close the game out then reopen it. Skipped the cutscene. Fought the boss. As soon as I landed the killing blow, the game crashed. Probably the first time this game has ever crashed on me.

Edit: Luckily the game didn't crash the second time.

Seriously im the type of guy to grind ridiculous amounts of lvls and get 100% for every creature while farming SP.......

Same. I love Star Ocean 2 for this reason (max level is 255 not 99)

One thing that bothers me in this game is that changing targets fucking sucks. Apparently the original version you couldn't do it at all. Such a huge oversight. Anyway, can't wait to finish this so I can go back and restart SO5 and finally play it to completion.

Well I flew back to Aeos to grind some Insect Egg items for a recipe.....and now I'm in a cutscene and the whole planet is destroyed...wtf

No worries, you don't have to worry about falling asleep in all of them.

I got so bored of the story that I just walked away during the ending. Like, not the credits: the part where it resolved everything narratively.

Game crashed again while farming trophies on Aeos. Luckily I had just saved a battle or two beforehand. It crashed as the last enemy was killed. It made an alert sound (like the MGS alert sound) right before crashing.

I think it's crashing sometimes when an achievement pops up. That first time it crashed, was when I delivered the final hit on Tamiel which would have gotten the "Trounced Tamiel" achievement. This second time, the "Rookie Battler" (15% battle trophies) achievement had just popped. I haven't had the game crash on any other achievement though. So that's 0 crashes in the first 30 hours, but 2 crashes in between hours 30-40.

I seriously ground out about 10k SP in that first grinding area. That carried me through a good majority of the game.

Update on the crashing. I'm almost certain it's related to the Special K mod I was using. Was using it to inject Dualshock button prompts. Weird that it'd act up now.
