basically a Republican DNR board member, who has voting power for DNR policy in Wisconsin, has decided that even though his term is over he wont vacate his seat

the obstructionist GOP state senate refuses to confirm our Democratic governors replacement for him so even though his term ended 3.5 years ago the WI SC ruled he can remain on the board

in case you needed to know another reason democracy is dead

Does that extend to every single seat in WI with a term limit? You can just refuse to leave after your term ends all because there is no replacement for your vacancy?

I wonder if the governor can create a situation where his state doesn't certify a replacement and he can just sit there and still govern and there's nothing anyone can do to get rid of him.
