Breaking Bad would have ended a matter of hours after Walter left his cabin to go into town, either shortly after a camera spotted him, or definitely after he made a phonecall to his son. When youre wanted at that level, these are not things you can do. A squad of FBI agents or a satellite would nab him before he was off the phone.

Erm

They did?

They storm the place literally while the phone was hanging and the drink was still at the bar.

They responded instantly, it just takes time to drive to the bar.

And this is speculation but by the time they locked off the area and were searching for him, Walt was probably well on the road back to New Mexico or where ever Eliot lived.

They couldnt have blocked the roads out of that area? Cant imagine theres too many routes out of rural NH.

That would have been it.

If you regard the level of police detection as that of being in the 80's or 90's, which I think is what they were going for the whole time, it makes much more sense.

They probably did but Walt was long gone by that point

That or:

You guys are vastly overestimating how efficent police are and how easy it is to get away from them. Criminals evade police all the time. The hard part is STAYING away from them once they start tracking you down.

Unlike what movies tell you, most arrests for dangerous criminals come from police knocking at their door on a random day. Not chasing them in the streets.

And Walt instantly left the state.

Walt was a high-profile target of the federal government. I can't say I hear much about how those things go down besides "We found him. This man now lives under a satellite. He doesn't know it yet. But he will when these 3 SEAL teams decide to say hello. If he ever leaves the consulate, we'll know he's gonna do it before even he knows he's gonna do it."

Even for the worst criminals(literal terrorists, cartel, whatever) it's gonna take about 10 to 20 minutes at least for someone to block off all access points while storming the house.(for big police outfits with recources)

I consider that to be a "nab" but yeah

Slight exaggeration

To quote another show: "It's a TV program. A movie...". Plus it's not exactly the most realistic show anyway. BB/BCS is a heightened reality kind of show.

It was hilarious how Oliver Stone had a shit fit over the ending saying it was too over the top and unrealistic and ruined it, and not even recognizing how much of the rest of the show is

Exactly.

Of all the unrealistic things in BB. Him not getting nabbed in the middle of no where inside 2 minutes is not even unlikely.

Hell Walt Jr would have to explain to the school to then contact the authorities after the call in the first place for them to track the call and send out a team to arrest him.

Remember he called from a bar

In reality, a computer program would have picked up either his face or his voice and Electric Eye would have played during the credits.

He was living in a cabin in buttfuck no where. Not walking around New York

But putting that aside, by your logic America wouldn't even have Federal criminals because they all would be instantly caught the moment they sneezed

You're being ridiclous.

Oh yeah you're right I forgot about that

Anyway. Bryan Cranston isn't a real chemist. I would imagine the series would have ended somewhere near the end of the first or second episodes, when his meth lab exploded.
