No.

This is the one Americanism I would force upon the world if I could. The day is tucked away in the middle because it's the least important.

Hey guys Im ready for the event on 2/4/2022

is that April or February you American? Use something unambiguous like 2022-04-02
theres no reason not to use unambiguous dates. The American date format is one of the worst things they do and worse than the rest of the imperial system

last name, first name sucks as well

Is 04 the month or the day? Shifting the year to the front doesn't remove ambiguity.

Nobody has ever misinterpreted ISO 8601

even if youre working with Americans who are being considerate and say this is American format in this time zone (they usually arent), they dont tell you that its daylight savings time so it still fucks it all up. Again, Americans fucked the system and should never have been allowed a say in this because they did it bad

The metric system was invented in 1795. The imperial system came about around 1878.

The Imperial system came from the U.K.

Britain even wants to bring it back.

Based on my quick search, that guy had been working it much earlier

"In 1670, Mouton proposed a decimal system of measurement that French scientists would spend years further refining."

DD/MM/YYYY is completely backwards and can go die in a fire, no better than the American system

of course, YYYY/MM/DD is by far the best
