Ar0ge 06/28/22 7:50:04 PM #12:	I think you can skip GTA4. It was good for it's time, but imo it ages way worse than GTA3-San Andreas. The Ballad of Gay Tony DLC was pretty good though. I personally love GTA5 and I think in many ways took the series back to more of the GTA3-San Andreas style, while still making it super modern. Way more fun than 4. GTA 4's awfulness is pretty self-explanatory, but even though people swear by GTA 5, I haven't liked it at all. Even though they bring back SA features I just don't like the new physics. I hate the RAGE engine. For me, it's how GTA 4 and 5 play, they're just not fun at all. The world feels more real and lived in compared to the other games. I feel a lot of people exaggerated the flaws and make it seem like it's bad. 5 has more to do and is more over the top. The story and such, while good, are a step down from 4. Still very much worth playing of course. I like to compare 4 and 5 to movies and tv shows. 4 is like The Sopranos or The Wire or a Scorsese gangster movie while 5 is like Breaking Bad or an action movie. It was less fun, the cars felt "too much realistic" compared to earlier games, and while the TV and internet were nice addons, it felt like most humor went into them instead of the rest of the game. And the music wasnt as great. The two addons were pretty nice however. V is like taking IV, change everything to the better and add more stuff. It got more goofyness than IV, but not as much as SA, and they managed to find the perfect balance. A shame that they cancelled the singleplayer DLC. Saints Row is what everybody expected IV to be, but it had problems with the difficulty settings. 2 perfected everything from the first game, and is the best SA clone. 3 decided to turn the dial to 11. Racing and being a vigilante cop were pretty much your only side activities. And looking for birds to shoot. To add to this, 4 does a cool thing where the main game and both DLC episodes are supposed to be happening simultaneously, and there are subtle visual differences between each of them because each character experiences Liberty City in a different way That too. I loved how they did it and how it all integrated together. It was cool The subtle visual differences you mentioned are awesome too. The bad ending where the Boss is so focused on revenge that he doesn't go to save Shaundi and the others and gets them killed is just way better.
