Should've just checked the calculator before voting. Kinda assumed it was under 16. Its actually 16.3, assuming I'm correct with my weight.

I would love to know what kinda muscle mass relative to bodyweight the expectation is for how they calculate bmi.

There is no expectation. It just flat out ignores muscle in the calculations. A lot of Body Builders would be considered overweight or obese.

I'm in the last category. I'm extremely overweight. I'm slowly starting to change that, but its difficult when your broke and the cheaper stuff where I live isn't exactly healthy. The fresh stuff goes bad too quickly, and might even be bad at the grocery store.

Baby steps man. For me, rather than drastically change my diet, I just started counting calories and eating smaller portions. Then slowly add in more healthy food. An app has me staying below 1,900 calories per day and most days I'm even further below that. Like today, I only ate 1585 calories worth of food.

I say try calorie counting, if you haven't already. You don't have to jump straight to 1900 calories. Just enough that you lose a bit each week.

sadly, I don't get that option just yet. In a couple months once I have a decent job I'll have that option, but right now, I have dinner at my parents house to save money, and they don't always have the healthiest of foods. They don't deep fry or anything like that, but its stuff that isn't even worth counting calories for, you just know your going over your limit.
